One of our all time favourite summer essential is handloom Kota cotton sarees that are pure and handcrafted. The entire saree is hand embroidered allover. The kindof embroidery done is called "Tepchi" - one of the stitches of Chikankari. The lovely pastel shades are always a winner during these scorching summer months. The saree does not have a blouse of its own. Here we have teamed them up with another beauty from our collection - 100% soft and pure cotton AJRAKH blouse pieces that are handblock printed by use of natural organic dyes. In this collection the Tepchi work from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh meets with Ajrakh block print from Gujarat.  Very comfortable and wearable any time of the day.

"Tepchi" is a form of hand embroidery and comes under the Chikankari work. Its one of the various kinds of stitches in Chikankari from Uttar Pradesh. This traditional form of embroidery comes from Mughal Era and has been popular ever since. The delicate stitches create beautiful floral patterns and intricate designs.  The embroidery is usually done in white or off-white threads.
