Dabu: The Ancient Art of Mud-Resist Printing

Dabu is a century old hand block printing technique that originates from Rajasthan. The fabric is carefully hand printed using wooden blocks in a mud-resist block printing technique where traditional craftsmen apply this special mud paste on the fabric which resists the dye during the colouring process. Once dried, the fabric undergoes a washing process where the intricate patterns emerge with stunning designs that carry rustic charm.
